SUMMARY
.psd files (both created in Krita and Photoshop) neither show up in the Recent Documents on the welcome screen nor in the "File>Open Recent" dialogue. They can be selected and opened via the open file dialogue normally.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. clear recent documents
2. create new file
3. save as .psd

OBSERVED RESULT
recent Documents are empty

EXPECTED RESULT
new .psd file shows up in Recent Documents

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Arch Linux, current as of 2020-11-07
no DE, WM: sway 1.5-1 
Qt Version: qt5-base 5.15.1

That works here. Could you check whether it works when you use the appimage?

It _does_ work with the appimage. Sorry I forgot to test this first.

Okay... Then I guess there's something weird going on that's specific to Arch, since it also does work for me when I build Krita with 5.15 myself.
