Created attachment 140555 [details] screenshots of before-and-after konsole profile So I have this same basic issue, in the root account. I first sudo -i and run konsole Set profile up as I like it (black on yellow, 12pt font, 80x24) Profile registers ok, shows up in ~/.local/share Launch konsole & from the command line and it shows up as default: black background, tiny font. If I use Shift+Ctrl+N it works as expected. If I "Manage Profiles" and "Set as Default" and then switch to "Default Profile" it reappears. So it is stored but ignored on launch. Bug confirmed on both of the following host systems: Environment: Kubuntu 18.04.5 LTS (X client); Plasma 5.12.9 Fedora 32 Plasma 5.18.5 (X11 client) Fedora 32 Plasma 5.18.5 (X11 server)
I, too, have this problem. I realized that once I enter the "Create profile" dialog, it creates the profile file in `~/.local/share/konsole` and as soon as the dialog is dismissed, the file disappears.
