SUMMARY As of version 20.08.1, once there's a network error, KRDC just terminates the session which is very annoying if your connection is not stable because you have to manually reconnect every time. I'm asking for an option to make a session permanent, eg. try to reconnect automatically unless the user closes the session. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a session to a server with a lossy network connection. 2. Wait until a network error occurs. OBSERVED RESULT KRDC terminates the session. EXPECTED RESULT Dim the window, and show a notification that the session is being reestablished. Try to reconnect in the background. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 20.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2
Reconnection seems to be implemented for VNC accourding to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=158452 RDP reconnection still needed
