Comment 1 Justin Zobel 2020-11-04 01:46:37 UTC
I can't see any way in Icons to adjust emoticons but I'm new to KDE and haven't seen it before.

Do you know what version it was last available in?

Has been removed intentionally.

Dear KDE support, dear Mr. Zobel & Mr. Feck,

OK; I see that was removed from the icons settings as emojis rely on Unicode throughout.

@Mr. Zobel's question: I cannot remember the KDE version when the emojis could be adjusted in the icons settings there, but I guess about 1 year ago.

The reason why I thought that this is a bug is that I cannot find way to adjust the smiley -> emoji conversion. In e.g. kmail, smileys are no longer converted automatically - I have to pick up an emoji from the toolbar, which is annoying and unusual nowadays. Even more, I had to install coloured emojis (noto) as these are also no longer part of standard KDE (in openSUSE).

Maybe you can help - appreciated much.

Kind regards, B. Scheichl
