Created attachment 132958 [details] attachment-7869-0.html That’s sadly, this bug has been fixed for more than a year. so that means nothing can be done? do you have the bug id? couldn't find it thanks

well, that are not solutions, are workarounds ... thanks anyway
(In reply to Michael from comment #6) > well, that are not solutions, are workarounds ... > > thanks anyway KDE can't help you in this case, your distro is responsible for giving you packages, KDE team just make the software. Kubuntu have decided (so far) not to upgrade to newer Plasma apps. It is not something the KDE team can control. I suggested KDE Neon as it's closest to your current OS, it is an LTS base with the latest Plasma applicaitons, framekwork and desktop.
in case somebody runs into the same problem, it comes a long way appearently from Debian, anyway, I saw casually at boot "/lib/systemd/system-generators/live-config-getty-generator failed" and went looking after that so, at some point I uninstalled some of the live-* packages and my thoughts about beeing necessary only for running the live CD was wrong now I reinstalled live-config and live-tools rebooted and my konsole problem is gone I still see an error in dmesg /lib/systemd/system-generators/live-config-getty-generator failed with exit status 2 but that I look at later cheers
