SUMMARY Yakuake terminal is not minimizing/hiding when clicking on empty area of the desktop. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Press F12 to pull down yakuake. 2. Click on on empty area of desktop 3. OBSERVED RESULT Yakuake terminal stays in place and has to be minimized using F12 EXPECTED RESULT Yakuake should minimize when clicking outside terminal window SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Avinash I assume you've disabled the option in Settings > Behavior > "Keep window open when it loses focus". I can confirm the issue on KDE Neon User Edition but cannot on Unstable Edition. Both with above option off.
Justin I don't the setting you wanted me to check in settings->Window Behaviour My settings: Window activation policy : click to focus Special windows : Hide utility windows for inactive applications Additional Information: The behavior is specific to desktop if have opened an application and i pull down the terminal using F12 and then click on the application terminal minimizes, same thing doesn't happen on desktop. Things work fine when i use X-org display manager
Can confirm. When using Yakuake on Wayland, the console gets spammed with logs like this: org.kde.kf5.kwindowsystem.kwayland: This compositor does not support the Plasma Window Management interface org.kde.kf5.kwindowsystem.kwayland: This compositor does not support the Plasma Window Management interface ...Which is nonsensical. :) So it seems like Yakuake needs some adjustment to a Wayland world. Accordingly, I strongly suspect this is a client bug. Moving to Yakuake.
