wayland show desktop

SUMMARY
When applications are minimized using super+D or show desktop small portions of applications appears in corners of the screen.  

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a few applications
2. Minimize the applications using super + D
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
portions of the applications are shown in the corner

EXPECTED RESULT
applications are completely minimized

Windows: 
macOS: 
Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro/Plasma 5.20.1

Show desktop will do that deliberately. It's designed to look like (whether it's a good idea is another discussion)

Minimise all should not. Please can you confirm this is the state.

Yes it is, when minimized the applications don't show up in the corner.

Is there a way to achieve the same result with show desktop.

Minimise all and manually minimising the applications are working fine.
