SUMMARY The best way to scroll through image documents is to have a thumbnail previewing what the image is. Krita's file explorer doesn't have that function; it only has filenames. so it'd be nice to use Kubuntu's native file explorer to view them. I'm guessing "enable native file dialogs" is supposed to enable that, but it doesn't. This means that using Dolphin to drag-and-drop files into Krita is the preferable way to open documents. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Toggle "enable native file dialogs" in Krita's General/Miscellaneous settings. OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens. EXPECTED RESULT Using the file dialog should be native SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.12.8
Which kind of Krita are you using: a repository one, an appimage, a snap or flatpak?

Thanks for your comment! Automatically switching the status of this bug to REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to get confirmed. In the future you may also do this yourself when providing needed information.
In that case it isn't a bug, because the appimage doesn't include the GTK or Plasma QPA plugins (that would add a ton of extra dependencies), so it can only use the Qt file dialogs.
Well, the appimage isn't very convenient, then, and that actually makes it less useful for artists.
Well, it can't be fixed, so people will have to live with it.
