Description zachkuty 2020-10-23 19:36:07 UTC
SUMMARY
sometimes the program will not detect my drawing pen. i know this is a problem on Krita's side as on other programs it works fine. it only doesn't detect it on the canvas part, so every time it happens i have to hover over a toolbar and move it to where i want. it also sometimes doesn't detect pressure or the place where you paint being way off, despite my computer recognizing where the cursor is and the pressure.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.
2.
3.
I don't know, as for me it happens randomly and might be specific to me somehow

Well, no, this is not necessarily "a problem on Krita's side as on other programs it works fine". Tablet drivers keep per-application state settings, and often break that data. So it's most likely still a driver problem and can be fixed by resetting the driver's settings or reinstalling the driver.

In any case, it's not something we can actually debug, since it doesn't happen with our Huion test hardware.

Please do as Halla suggested, and if it doesn't work, check out those too:
- switch to Windows Ink in Configure Krita -> Tablet Settings, restart your PC and see if it still happens
- as the last resort, you can contact Huion - they do want to keep their tablet drivers compatible with Krita so it would be good if they knew there is a problem, and for that, it's always better if the owner of the hardware contacts them because then it can be tested etc.

I'm switching the report to NeedsInfo.
