Can you provide the output of `qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation`?
Comment 3 PaSe 2020-10-26 18:08:57 UTC
KWin Support Information:
The following information should be used when requesting support on e.g. http://forum.kde.org.
It provides information about the currently running instance, which options are used,
what OpenGL driver and which effects are running.
Please post the information provided underneath this introductory text to a paste bin service
like http://paste.kde.org instead of pasting into support threads.

I don't see anything suspicious in the support info.

> Quit a openGL based application
What application was that? Was it a video game? Did it block compositing?
Comment 5 PaSe 2020-10-26 22:14:17 UTC
"Allow applications to block compositing" is set off globally. Does the blocking break the GL objects in full screen? Should I just use RenderX ?
Application was Linux Steam with CS:GO for linux.

Not a similar issue this time but when installing launching CS:GO through Steam Linux the launcher using wine "proton" loaded the some sort of NVIDIA kernel object semaphore into an infinite loop and froze kwin_x11
