Usually, the integration of KDE apps is very good and gives a neat experience for the user. However, renaming multiple files with krename often gets tedious. Especially for a find/replace operation too many clicks are necessary. 1. Open krename 2. Add folders (multiple clicks) 3. Go to filename 4. Click on find and replace 5. Add find and replace strings and click on OK (multiple clicks) 6. Click on OK 7. Click on Finish 8. Close final window with click SUGGESTION: A cleanup/redesign of the UI would make it more intuitive and could ease the workflow. A good example (in my opinion) is the mass renamer of thunar. There it is possible to easily change between functions without the need to intricately click around in multiple separate menus.
Agree with this comment, using the Find and Replace dialog is quite clunky and requires lots of clicks.
(In reply to Greg Lepore from comment #1) > Agree with this comment, using the Find and Replace dialog is quite clunky > and requires lots of clicks. Agree too. Another conveniant feature would be (and is in thunar) a realtime preview for replacement patterns. Particularly being more on a trial & error skill level with regex this helps a lot.
