When reporting a crash, you need to include a backtrace of the crash. Please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Issue_Reporting to learn how to submit actionable bug reports. :) It has a section on how to get a backtrace for a crash.
Comment 2 alenertz 2020-10-21 16:18:38 UTC
Perhaps my issue is rather a "hang" than a "crash",because after log out the system hangs for an undefinetly long time and would remain so until I shutdown the computer by pressing the On/Off button. Then only the computer shuts down in a regular way. This happens only in Wayland Session.Plasma Session is not affected by this bug.So I have changed the word "crash" by the word "hangs" in my bug report.

a short video attachment about log off bug in Wayland

In this short video you see (only in Wayland)that I first click on "Log Off" ("Abmelden"),then the system hangs. You see a blue screen with a rippled surface, that remains (hangs) so long in this state until I press the On/Off Button and then the system shutdowns normally. To be seen in the whole video.
I had to use my tablet to make the recording, because Simplescreenrecorder and OBS Studio don't work in Wayland.I had also had to convert the video under 4 MB to use it as an attachment here.

In the last weeks the bug didn't appear anymore. In Wayland the logoff process runs now in a smooth and normal way.No more problem anymore! I change the status from REPORTED to RESOLVED FIXED.
