Created attachment 132544 [details] screen recording SUMMARY Sometimes the dialog used to retry/skip/cancel file copy is centered on the screen, sometimes it shows up in the upper left corner. Watch the attached screen recording please. EXPECTED RESULT dialog should always be centered on the screen SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.76.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0
I can reproduce this and I've heard several user complaints about it. It seems to be happening for dialog windows of all sorts; they sometimes appear at position 0,0 instead of centered in their parent window, as expected. Moving to KWin, which handles dialog window positioning.
This doesn't seem to be happening anymore for me. Creating a new folder or file was previously positioning the dialog at 0,0, but now it's correctly centered in the parent window. Can you confirm with the current state of Neon Unstable?
I can't reproduce on X11, but it is still happening on Wayland.
Oh on Wayland I think that's expected and it's a different bug. Can you file one against KWin for it? Thanks!
