I can reproduce this and I've heard several user complaints about it. It seems to be happening for dialog windows of all sorts; they sometimes appear at position 0,0 instead of centered in their parent window, as expected. Moving to KWin, which handles dialog window positioning.

This doesn't seem to be happening anymore for me. Creating a new folder or file was previously positioning the dialog at 0,0, but now it's correctly centered in the parent window.

Can you confirm with the current state of Neon Unstable?
Comment 3 Patrick Silva 2020-12-09 15:47:51 UTC
I can't reproduce on X11, but it is still happening on Wayland.
Comment 4 Nate Graham 2020-12-09 16:23:26 UTC
Oh on Wayland I think that's expected and it's a different bug. Can you file one against KWin for it? Thanks!
