SUMMARY
Smb4k relies on gksu to get the network domains and this package is no longer in the general release of Umbutu 18.04.  Perhaps use pkexec?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start program
2. 
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Error pops up for a moment "Error retrieving the list of available domains failed:"

EXPECTED RESULT
Listing of the domains in the window

Can you send me the calling configuration for Smb4k?  This may be an
Elementary OS configuration error. The configuration error I found was in
/use/share/accessories/smb4k.desktop

Actually, this not a configuration error, but a bug in the software. It was fixed in version 3.0.3. Is it possible for you to upgrade to the latest version?
