I know plasma 5.20 comes with less obtrusive "on-screen displays".
I would like to suggest some way to configure the display time.
For example, a way to configure the "volume display" time when changing volume. 
For me 400ms is enough. Today the default time can't be changed and is about 2 seconds.
if i'm not wrong it looks to be very simple to implement.

Thanks for the feedback, we will monitor for other similar comments to see if it's a trend.

Right now I think adding timing is too niche. If there is an issue we should look at addressing it, rather than hiding problems with options.

The timeout comes from the osdmainscript timeout property. So technically this is already configurable. Any new config option would conflict with that.
