STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a folder with images
2. Start dragging an image

OBSERVED RESULT
The dragged item has the following issues:

1. it's quite far from the cursor
2. it's exactly half the size of the original
3. it will have white surroundings added to it

EXPECTED RESULT
None of the above

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75
Qt Version: 5.15.1

X11 session, fractional scaling at 125%, see the attached screenshot

There were some recent commits in kwin regarding scaling of "software cursors". It is possible that these could resolve this issue.

I don't use X11 or 125% scaling anymore and it was ages ago so I am fine with closing this.
