Hmm, I can't reproduce this either. (I've just enabled dimming of passive windows). Are you on X11 or Wayland? It worked for me on Wayland.

In any case if it's a bug then probably not in partition manager.

Can you get the output of xwininfo for the main kpm window and the "pending operations" area?
