SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Installed akonadi and all kde kontact applications on a fresh installation but with an imported home partition (without hidden files so a priori no config files included that should not be important
2. Tried to start kmail and all other applications

OBSERVED RESULT
Applications crashes and return an error concerning akonadi

EXPECTED RESULT
It should start with no error, i suppose at least

which akonadi version is it?
Comment 2 Christophe Marin 2020-10-13 07:41:23 UTC
> org.kde.pim.akonadiserver: mysqld reports version 0.0.0 (Oracle MySQL)

> org.kde.pim.akonadiserver: process error: "execvp: Permission denied"

sounds like a permission issue.
See this manjaro thread: https://forum.manjaro.org/t/akonadi-trouble/19436/2
Comment 3 Victor 2020-10-13 08:22:07 UTC
Version 20.08.1-2

Thanks a lot the command sudo aa-complain /usr/bin/akonadiserver worked. But if I sudo aa-enforce /usr/bin/akonadiserver the problem returns. Also I apparently have to do that after the computer has been shut down. Have you got any idea to solve it permanently ?

Thanks again.
Comment 4 Christophe Marin 2020-10-13 09:03:06 UTC
the 20.08.2 release has a apparmor fix for mariadb 10.5.5. Please retry when the version is available in manjaro.

See https://bugs.kde.org/425606 for details.
Comment 5 Christoph Feck 2020-11-05 02:52:53 UTC
Victor, can you confirm this issue is fixed with release 20.08.2 (KDEPIM version 5.15.2)?

Just made the update and it works just fine, thanks a lot for all the work you're making.
