The cause might be a faulty graphics card driver (Intel Mobile HD 4000), 'tho reading through log, it looks like maybe unhandled null pointer in kritaui

Well, both crashes are in the log. Could you please check whether you can reproduce with the latest beta?
Comment 2 tomek-kubel2 2020-10-09 17:51:57 UTC
Tested with 4.4.0-beta2, it doesn't reproduce, so it seems to be fixed. Thanks.

Also, animation tutorial in user manual seems outdated (there is no "New Frame" in timeline's context menu), where should I report it?
Comment 3 Tiar 2020-10-10 01:58:47 UTC
The problem with the animation tutorial is that it is outdated for some time... but it cannot be updated now, because we've got animation developers recently and they are working hard and some of the changes they made changed the animation dockers, so all screenshots taken now will be automatically outdated again very soon.

However I tried to update it as much as possible without redoing screenshots: https://invent.kde.org/documentation/docs-krita-org/-/merge_requests/170

Generally you can report things like that here; just instead of "Animation" select "Documentation". You can also, which is even more desired, suggest changes yourself on https://invent.kde.org/documentation/docs-krita-org/ using the guide: https://docs.krita.org/en/contributors_manual/krita_manual_readme.html#making-changes
