Description Mark Ashworth 2020-10-07 23:21:38 UTC
SUMMARY
Unable to drag a clip region to the timeline using AppImage 20.08.1. That works fine in AppImage 20.04.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Project setting 1080p 29.97fps
2. Play clip in clip monitor and set markers to start and end zone.
3. Try to drag zone onto timeline or extract it to Project bin.

OBSERVED RESULT
Trying to drag the zone only moves the cursor in the clip monitor. Trying to extract the zone to a file or into the project pulls up the following error message...

mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2 @ 0x139c480] Drop frame is only allowed with 30000/1001 or 60000/1001 FPS
[mp4 @ 0x13fae40] Could not find tag for codec pcm_s16be in stream #1, codec not currently supported in container
Could not write header for output file #0 (incorrect codec parameters ?): Invalid argument

EXPECTED RESULT
I expected that I would be able to drag the zone onto the timeline as I've done in previous versions of Kdenlive.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Ubuntu Studio version 20.04.

Well it works for me. Does it happen with all clips, or only some ?
That could maybe help if you could upload screencast of the problem...

In 20.08 we made a change. dragging mouse over the audio thumbnail (yellow zone) seeks but dragging from the upper part (the bird head for example) will drag and insert zone in bin or timeline...
