Created attachment 132101 [details] screenshot one - konsole SUMMARY For fonts that don't have their own built in italics a set are generated. In this case the final character on a line is cut short. With some comparison to other terminal emulators it seems that Konsole positions the italicized glyphs too far to the right. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use font without Italics. 2. Open vim, type something as a comment (since these are usually italicized with source code file types), repeat on the next line without a comment. It is easier to see with capitals. 3. There will be an obvious difference where the final character on the italicized line is cut short. Moving the cursor along an italicized line will also show that glyphs fall outside cursor area. OBSERVED RESULT See screenshot one (Konsole). EXPECTED RESULT See screenshot two (Alacritty).
