SUMMARY
functional keys not working after start.
They work after laptop is restored from sleep

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Turn on Kubuntu 20.04

OBSERVED RESULT
functional keys  Fn + F1-F12 not working as expected,
only Fn + Space (light keyboard) works
All of them work fine after computer goes to sleep and is restored.

EXPECTED RESULT
keys work from boot in plasma.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 20.04
(available in About System)
Qt: 5.12.8
KDE Frameworks: 5.68.0
kf5-config: 1.0

Hardware:
laptop Lenovo E14 Ryzen gen 2 EU ver.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Can be latest plasma fixed this.
I looked for an easy way to update plasma on Kubuntu 20.04
Although sudo apt update & apt upgrade
doesnt upgrde KDE surprisingly.
If you provide me a command I can try the latest KDE+plasma

If this bug does not fit your project please help to route it.

Can you confirm X11 sends the same key codes before and after the issue appears? Please use 'xev' in a terminal to check.

Seems to be Lenovo issue, affecting all linux distributions
