DESCRIPTION A folder icon with a gear on it (that can be used for folders containing more "System" documents)
We typically use "two sliders" iconography to mean "settings". But I guess "system" is different from "settings".
Makes sense to me. I like it.

Yes, typically based on my own use: I have a folder named "System" on my home folder where i put system or applications related resources (could be pics for screensaver slideshow, ebook library, or some other geeky admin documents...) System related, but not really Settings like a .config folder can be.
are you ok with the folder-build icon, or do you want to have something else? https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/breeze-icons/-/merge_requests/154
