There's not much to say... Basically, I edited a 20-minute-long video, and after processing it and turning it to .mp4, it kind of crashed. The video is a mess, audio doesn't go along with the video...apart from that, every black screen I added with text doesn't look as it should... In conclusion, the video looks perfect at the edition screen, but after processing and saving it, it messes up. I don't know what to do. It could be that you use a couple of effects. Please disable parallel processing before you render. Then click on more options and pull the encoder speed slider to the far right with threads 0 to have a quick rendering.

Different effects could be affected depends on the timeline (sometimes transform or zoom) as rendering with parallel processing could affect all effects
(In reply to emohr from comment #3) > Different effects could be affected depends on the timeline (sometimes > transform or zoom) as rendering with parallel processing could affect all > effects I didn't render with parallel processing. That's why I asked about the effects. Is there any solution that doesn't imply modifying all those effects?
If you work with 19.12.3 make a copy of your project file. Then Download 20.08.1 and try again. Version 20.08.1 solves a lot of issues due to comma/point decimal separator conflicts (project files saved with 20.08.0 and newer are not backwards compatible). Your render issue could be a part of this comma/point decimal separator conflicts.
That's kind of funny. I did that, but the problem now is that kdenlive 20.08.1 wouldn't let me render the file. I issued a bug regarding that. I basically have two options: fixing the mess in 19.12.3, or understand why 20.08.1 crashes when I press the 'Render file' button (a sign that says something about a Qt file not being initialized) (In reply to emohr from comment #5) > If you work with 19.12.3 make a copy of your project file. Follow this steps: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Windows_Issues#This_application_failed_to_start_because_no_Qt_platform_plugin_could_be_initialized or this: https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Windows_Issues#Cannot_open_projects_made_with_previous_version.2C_timeline_snaps_back.2C_cannot_import_clip
(In reply to emohr from comment #7) Thanks for your help, you're being very useful. However, this program isn't helping. Whenever I solve an issue, another one comes out. Now, I'm facing two problems: 1) I restarted my computer. Now, when I open kdenlive and then try to open the project file, it loads until 70%, then the project appears in the timeline but it doesn't let me to visualize or edit it. Before, I couldn't render it to mp4. Now, I can't even see the video from inside the program. 2) I thought that maybe, despite not being able to see anything, I could try processing the video with the help you gave me. So I went to the link you sent and tried downloading that qt.conf file when I click on it, the only thing that appears in my screen is text saying "[Paths] Plugins = ." Is that correct?
Sorry for the problem you face. Yes the file "qt.conf" contains this information only. Put this file into the "bin" folder where Kdenlive.exe is. click: Help -> Reset configuration. If this is not working delete Kdenlive.rc as well. Please upload the project file here so I can have a look.
Goto settings -> configure Kdenlive -> Environment -> make sure the paths of FFmpeg, FFpplay, FFprobe has the same root directory as MLT.

Ok. There's the file you asked. Will you able to see anything, considering you don't have the files used? By the way, problem 1 is fixed. The program was glitched and it showed me the 'Clip monitor' instead of the 'Project monitor'. About problem 2, I think I screwed it up. While trying to check the paths, after noticing that MLT had a different root directory, I deleted every path in order to copypaste and make them link. This didn't work, so I deleted everything and now the root directory is blank. Apart from that (I guess I can solve that reinstalling the app or checking manually for the path), I don't understand the steps to download the qt file you told me: can you give me specific steps to solve that problem? I'm not very good at this, sorry.
Loading the project file the first time I get a crash. Load indicator goes to 71% and then jumps and shows the project in the timeline. Clicking into the timeline I get a crash.
@emohr: I can open the project file without crash on linux.
Can you please test with the latest version (20.12.3 at the moment, https://kdenlive.org/en/download/) and close this report if it is not relevant anymore?
