Description Ali 2020-09-29 15:21:02 UTC
SUMMARY
Dolphin fails to copy files over the same sftp connection:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a Network folder through an ssh connection
2. Open the folder, split it
3. change the path of one of the sides to somewhere else, but still in same remote connection.
4. Try to select a file from one side and manually copy to the other side

OBSERVED RESULT
Despite sometimes copy is successful, most of the times it fails to copy,
 a window opens with:
"Internal Error
Please send a full bug report at https://bugs.kde.org "

And I am sure the problem is not from losing connection.

Moreover, The problem arises mainly with specific file names.
For instance, dolphin is not able to copy a file with this name:

"system_1000000_relax_Z_WIRE_Temp_300.0_glue_15_Tdamp_0.1"

Not even able to rename the file.

Unfortunately the 19.12 release is no longer supported and I cannot reproduce this on the upcoming 20.12.
Can you try to reproduce this with kio-extras 20.08 or git master?

I was not able to install kio-extras 20.08 on Kubuntu 20.04.
Compiling git master demanded to install a lot of packages which I do not have.
I am waiting for 20.12
