Created attachment 131987 [details] printer drivers comparison SUMMARY When the pinter MFC-L2700DW is linked to a client router to the main router in wifi mode, the computer clients cannot detect the printer without addressing the route in the configuration driver manager of the printer manually added. In this case, it's necessary to select the driver which is missed for the aforementioned specified brother model forcing to use another listed driver provided for a similar model named MFC-L2710DW. For a reason of clarity would be useful if that driver will be also named as MFC-L27OODW to facilitate the user to get the right driver for the same model. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. attach the model specified or another printer machine to a secondary router linked in wifi to the main router 2. verify the printer is not detected adding a new printer 3. procede by manual mode to the IP address by IPPù; 4. search the driver 5. use the driver of the similar model OBSERVED RESULT the printer MFC-L2700 runs a driver of the MFC-L2710DW prints due to the inability of detecting the printer when it is linked to a client router. EXPECTED RESULT the MFC-L2700DW gets a driver named MFC-L2700DW when it is linked to a client router unable to detect the printer automatically. Oother solution: the printer MFC-L2700DW similar to MFC-L2700DW is detected when it is linked to a client router linked to the main router by wifi. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Operating System: KDE neon 5.19 KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 Kernel Version: 5.4.0-48-generic OS Type: 64-bit ADDITIONAL INFORMATION printer model: MFC-L2700DW;
The MFC-L2710DW driver works badly with the MFC-L2700DW. So it would be preferable to get ready the driverless provided in the list, such as when the printer is rightly detected.
