I'm not sure that I understand the problem. Could you please attach a screenshot that demonstrates the bug?

You can change the mouse cursor size in system settings/cursor and choose 24 pixel,32,36,48,96 up to over 100 pixel.When you choose,for instance,36 or 48 pixel the size doesn't change to 36 or 48 pixel.Say,my pixel size was 24 pixel,it keeps that size.All of course only in Plasma-Wayland.Plasma-Session is not affected by this bug.Of course,I always "apply" the setting,by clicking on "apply".

If you use the capitaine-cursor-theme,mojave or breeze,whatever theme,the pixel size cannot be changed.

If the cursor size changes, wayland clients have no way to detect it. This can be fixed once https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/wayland/wayland-protocols/-/merge_requests/21 gets merged.
