Very neat interface ! Just a wish for displaying lyrics while playing. :) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Current stable version of Elisa (20.08.1) is already able to display lyrics embedded as metadata inside audio files. Could you please test this version (for example via Flathub https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.kde.elisa) ? I would like to know if you really need more. The ability to use web services to fetch metadata about audio files is planned but not yet started. In this case, lyrics support will be added.
And by the way, thanks for your report.
There can be different cases: Case 1: Lyrics is embedded as metadata inside audio files. Case 2: Lyrics is provided as separate file, for example, song.mp3 and song.lrc. Case 3: Both embedded lyrics and lyrics file are not available, and we need to search the corresponding lyrics from the Internet.

Hello Matthieu I tried the latest version but no lyrics are displayed, because lyrics are seldom embedded in mp3 files. So yes external lyrics servers will be a definitive plus. Thanks
change for the latest version I tested
