A second screen is connected to the laptop (for me: right screen within the screen layout). 2. The global screen scale factor is bigger than 1 (for me: 1.25). 3. The KDevelop windows is running on the second screen. OBSERVED RESULT KDevelop crashes every few minutes or even every few seconds if all the following conditions are met: EXPECTED RESULT KDevelop does not crash. can you try any release after 5.5.0 please and see if the problem persists? I fixed a problem (bug 417151) for 5.5.1 and above that sounds related? also, please attach a backtrace for the crashes you are encountering

Hi Milian. Thanks for the quick reply. I could't test KDevelop 5.5.1 due to lack of package. But I think you are right: This is a duplicate bug 417151 because indeed it occurs exactly when hovering with the mouse over a part of source code that should pop up a tool tip, just as described in bug 417151. Should we close this one as duplicate?
