Description p92 2020-09-09 03:24:11 UTC
Currently when viewing installed application in discover we can only choose to sort by : note, name, size, publication date

It would be usefull to also sort by local installation date.

This sounds like it wouldn't be easy to implement in the first place. Would you see updating as an adequate installation date?
Comment 2 Nate Graham 2022-01-20 17:35:15 UTC
No, I don't think so. Sorting by *installation* date seems important IMO. I've found myself wanting this from time to time. Date of last update isn't the same thing.
Comment 3 Aleix Pol 2022-01-20 19:12:18 UTC
Yes, then I sure can't think of how to get the installation date.
Comment 4 Nate Graham 2022-01-20 19:17:56 UTC
PackageKit doesn't provide it?
Comment 6 Nate Graham 2022-01-20 20:28:04 UTC
I guess we need to request it upstream.

Do we have this information for the Flatpak, Snap backends, or KNS backends?
Comment 7 Aleix Pol 2022-01-20 23:10:14 UTC
No, not that I know of.

We could use the date on the desktop file as the "installation date", but I'm pretty sure we can use it reliably as a modification date, hence my asking above.
