SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start and log in on Wayland.
 

OBSERVED RESULT
Desktop background is or immediately gets desaturated, showing a black-and-white background.

EXPECTED RESULT
Desktop background should not be desaturated.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: neon Stable
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
From what I understand this is caused by a Kwin feature to desaturate unresponsive windows. Seems it's extra aggressive towards the desktop background in the beginning.

As soon as one interacts with the desktop (right click on it), it returns to normal.
