Created attachment 131476 [details] photo of the screen SUMMARY [Wayland] Bogus square displayed along with OSD when switching keyboard layout in lockscreen. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have multiple keyboard layouts configured (I have English and Russian) 1. Start Plasma Wayland session 2. Lock screen (Ctrl+Alt+L) 3. Switch keyboard layout by either pressing a global keyboard shortcut or clicking on the layout indicator in the bottom left corner of the screen locker OBSERVED RESULT Two OSD displayed: one is an empty square, another one with the named of the new keyboard layout. EXPECTED RESULT Only one OSD should be displayed. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 32 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The same OSD looks good when the screen is not locked, i.e. inside an unlocked Plasma Wayland session.
I see a different OSD on neon unstable and I can not reproduce the bogus square. Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.76.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0
I'm unable to reproduce this on Plasma 5.21.4. Does this bug still occur for anyone? If so, please add a comment.
