in certain case which is booting and logging with BT adapter inserted TWO BT connection icons appear in tray, both with the same options in the drop down menu, it does NOT happen when I insert the BT adapter after logging into the desktop also happens when for any reason I need restart network manager service, then independent of having before 1 Icon, two come up "solution", remove KdeConnect ######### System: Host: hm-casa Kernel: 5.8.5-hmich-smp-1.4 x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.18.5 Distro: Linux Mint 20 Ulyana CPU: Topology: Quad Core model: AMD Phenom 9550 bits: 64 type: MCP L2 cache: 2048 KiB Speed: 1100 MHz min/max: 1100/2200 MHz Core speeds (MHz): 1: 1100 2: 1100 3: 1100 4: 1100 Graphics: Device-1: NVIDIA GK208 [GeForce GT 710] driver: nouveau v: kernel Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.8 driver: modesetting unloaded: fbdev, vesa tty: N/A OpenGL: renderer: NVD9 v: 4.3 Mesa 20.0.8
So both of them do the same thing when you either right-click or left-click on them? They are identical? Am I understanding that you have tow bluetooth adapters, or only one?
(*two, not tow, sorry)
you're excused, don't worry :) :) I have two identical looking and working tray icons when starting the desktop (logging in) with the adapter in the hole I have ONE usb bluetooth dongle and it does not matter using another one, the result is the same as described thanks
Does your computer have its own built-in Bluetooth functionality, or is the USB adapter the only one?
it has no onboard BT, wireless also not
Thanks. How strange. So what does KDE Connect have to do with it?
because then it is when it happens, Kde Connect should use any existing BT connection for whatever it does right? and it does, it just puts another additional icon in System Tray when Kde Connect is not installed I can boot or login to the desktop with the BT adapter plugged in and no second Icon appears
Thanks for the info.
