SUMMARY After using up-arrow history beginning of previous commands are frozen at beginning of input, and new commands appear after a certain number of characters of these frozen ones. The frozen text at the beginning is not logged as a command when enter is pressed to execute a typed command. After clearing the terminal (ctrl+l or clear) the frozen text disappears but if up is pressed about 3 times it comes back. This problem also existed on tilix and yakuake, so maybe not caused by konsole. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 Fedora 32, X11
Bug in bash: fixed in bash 5.1
Thanks for the feedback; could you post a link to the bash bug (on the bash ML...etc)? for future reference. Thanks :)
