Description Dave Bachmann 2020-09-02 00:25:35 UTC
SUMMARY
I can no longer make an appointment at a set time

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create an appointment at any time with any duration short of a day
2. Save the appointment

OBSERVED RESULT

The start and end time are both set to 12:00 AM for the same (correct) day. The calendar shows a column running the length of the day.

EXPECTED RESULT

As it has always been in the past - a block with a clearly defined start and end time

This may be recently fixed locale-handling bug; for examples see bug 410167 and its duplicates.

Does the problem still occur if you switch to American English, for example by executing "LANG=en_us.UTF-8 korganizer" in a terminal window?

If that bug is the cause of your problem, the fix was released in KDE Frameworks 5.72.0.

It's still there despite setting LANG. I first noticed it a couple weeks back and I can't recall any activity of mine that would have caused the change. Previously created appointments (single & continuing) display and act appropriately.

Dang. For the record, what locale do you normally run in?

I see a typo in my previous comment: I meant to type "LANG=en_US.UTF-8 korganizer" (uppercase "US").

Same issue with upper case. Typically it's en_CA.UTF-8, but I could live with US.
