Round 1 is the current project file, broken. There are two backup files in there as well, each marked as which one works and doesn't. You will see they were created within a minute of each other. (41.08 KB, application/x-zip-compressed)

SUMMARY
I worked 2 hours on a video last night to find 1.75 of those hours lost due to almost all the project backups having the same issue: Kdenlive crashes on open. It'll start importing clips and then just exit with no error message. Sometimes it will ask if I want to recover, which then it says "Unexpected end of file" when opening a broken backup project. This is happening again and I don't know how, all I did was move the timeline and then CTRL+S as I'm paranoid of losing progress now. I have been checking if the project is broken periodically and I caught it. There were two backups made within a minute of each other, one of which is broken while the other is not.
Trying to update to Kdenlive 20.08 to see if this fixes my issue, but the website went down while I was preparing this bug report.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Work on a project for a few minutes
2. Save constantly
3. Discover the saved project is broken, along with several backups

OBSERVED RESULT
Kdenlive crashes on opening a project

EXPECTED RESULT
Kdenlive should open the project cleanly :P

This bug (corrupt project file) should be solved with the upcoming version 20.08.2. Please try with daily build which includes the fix: https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kdenlive_Nightly_mingw64/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/

BTW: I could open "First_Broken_Backup_Round 1-1598387533889-2020-09-01-17-30.kdenlive" with the daily build.

Please try with the latest version (https://kdenlive.org/en/download/)
