SUMMARY When user clicks on the guide and the clicked area is outside of the canvas boundary. the guide is deleted. This leads to inadvertent deletion of guide. Due to the threshold of area where drag handle appear near when mouse is near the guide is large it becomes easy to delete the guide while panning the canvas too. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Krita and new document in it. Add few guides 2. Click on the guides when your mouse is outside of canvas boundary OBSERVED RESULT Guide is deleted EXPECTED RESULT Guide should behave like it behaves when click is inside the canvas boundary. guide should not get deleted unless it is dragged out into the rulers or edge of window by user. This happens in both 4.3 and 5.0 Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 Kernel Version: 5.7.12-arch1-1 OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: GeForce GTX 750 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
I can confirm this bug. As the guide is visible on the canvas still, it should not be removed.
Re-confirmed. I also noticed that the guide is only visible over the canvas. It's a bit unhelpful IMO since when you first drag a guide out from one of the rulers it doesn't seem like it's working.
