Redundant and functionless entry "Power Down" in "Global Shortcuts" under "Power Management". The actual true shortcut entry seems to be "Power Off", which is present as well as an shortcut option. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to System Setting -> Shortcuts -> Global Shortcuts -> Power Management. 2. You'll find "Power Off" AND "Power Down". 3. Set a shortcut for "Power Off" and activate, nothing will happen. OBSERVED RESULT "Power Down" has no function behind it and seems to be redundant to "Power Off", which actually has function. EXPECTED RESULT There should only be "Power Off", not "Power Down". SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: Manjaro (Kernel 5.7.17) KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It seems that this redundant needless entry "Power Down" hasn't been present in e.g. Plasma 5.18.5. (see: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=289&t=167656 )
EDIT: 3. Set a shortcut for "Power Down" and activate, nothing will happen. Sorry for mistake. (In reply to Nytrm from comment #0) > STEPS TO REPRODUCE > 3. Set a shortcut for "Power Off" and activate, nothing will happen.
Agreed, this is weird. The shortcuts come from Powerdevil; moving there.
Looks like "Power Down" is used for long-pressing the power button. Not sure it makes sense for this to appear in the KCM since it's purely a hardware-based action.
For context that's used for long pressing the power button on Plasma Mobile
Yes, but I'm not sure it makes sense to expose it in the KCM
