SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Konsole.
2. Open some log file or have some long output.
3. Try to scroll with Trackpoint

OBSERVED RESULT
Scrolling stucks in random places. In both directions up and down. Scrolling using mouse works well.

EXPECTED RESULT
Able to scroll from end-to-end with out interaptions.


SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: OpenSUSE Tumbleweed 5.8.0-1-default
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0
Qt Version: 5.15.0 (built against 5.15.0)

please try with libinput if you are using synaptics.

Yes I'm using Synaptics to disable touchpad. Could you please clarify how I can do experiment with libinput?

I think this bug might be a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425765 .  Does the patch attached to that bug solve this problem?

See also https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425456 for which the patch from the bug above solved the problem.

... will mark as duplicate so that they're associated with each other, for visibility.  If the patch doesn't fix it for you, please remove the duplicate status.
