SUMMARY When dragging a file, the position of the mouse cursor seems to be offset. I cannot drag it all to the left and I can drag it off screen on the right. It also affects the position where I point at in the panel (dragging to an app in the task manager for example). It might only be some visual thing that the mouse cursor is displayed at the wrong place or something like that. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open dolphin 2. Drag a file from there 3. Try to drag it all to the left (or to the right) OBSERVED RESULT The cursor is (or seems to be) offset. EXPECTED RESULT No offset Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0 Qt Version: 5.15.0 Kernel Version: 5.8.1-3-MANJARO OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1225 v3 @ 3.20GHz Memory: 3.8 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa DRI Intel® HD Graphics P4600/P4700 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Happening on Wayland, might be related. Also sorry, if this is a duplicate.

I can't reproduce this issue of the task manager highlight being wrong on X11. Does it happen for you on X11, or just Wayland? Thanks for using and Testing Wayland, BTW :)

Thanks for using and > Testing Wayland, BTW :) I haven't tested on X11, yet. I will update shortly with the result. Plasma on Wayland is the only combination that gets me a decent mouse wheel scrolling speed on Linux (the problem seems to be not existing when using a touchpad), thus I am using that :)
Created attachment 132469 [details] Screenshot of the problem Note the highlight on Firefox while the item is dragged on Gwenview.
Created attachment 132470 [details] Mockup based on previous screenshot showing the expected behavior

Thanks for using and > Testing Wayland, BTW :) Does not happen on X11, just Wayland, so setting appropriate keyword. Not related: Note that https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425258 (Screenshot https://bugsfiles.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=130822) might be only there on Wayland. I think I cannot reproduce, but the offset of the mouse cursor from the dragged image shown in the screenshot from that bug report seems to be pretty extreme. For me the cursor slightly touches the dragged item and does not sit about 3/4 of the items height above it.
I have written about a very similar issue in dolphin under https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385054 attachment from 385054: https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=132442 first part: pointer clearly over directory but not highlighted second part: pointer way to far to the right but Dokumente directory highlighted
Cannot reproduce on a git master Plasma Wayland session, so it may have been fixed recently. Can you try again? Thanks!
