could you provide more info regarding this freeze? What were you doing before closing Kdenlive, did it crash, is there something unusual going on, maybe a memory leak? Additionally, could you provide more info about your operating system, the Kdenlive version and how did you install it?

If you are on Linux please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 20.08.0 to see if there are any packaging issues https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/ 

If the problem/issue doesn't occur when using the AppImage, then it's your configuration or packaging.

Estava colocando um clipe na timeline. Tentei várias vezes. Desinstalei e
instalei uma versão atual para ubuntu Studio 20.04. Até agora está
funcionando.
