Description Patrick Silva 2020-08-22 13:39:22 UTC
SUMMARY
My system has a user account called "share", I use it exclusively as samba account. When I try to share a folder called "Share" I get an error message, but the same folder can be shared if I set another share name.
Watch the attached screen recording please.

EXPECTED RESULT
we can create usershares with any name

Alas, I'm not sure what to do here. That's a samba restriction, there's nothing we can do to make overlapping names work.
Comment 3 Nate Graham 2020-08-24 22:17:20 UTC
Just display an error message, then? We can pin the blame on Samba. :)
Comment 4 Harald Sitter 2020-08-25 11:35:24 UTC
I suppose. Well, we already have that, ksambashare just doesn't look at groups but only users so the UI error doesn't trigger. Moving bug
