Description CzAndrew 2020-08-21 13:27:58 UTC
SUMMARY
I added a 4-5 mins video to the timeline, cut a portion of that which was at the end of the file, rendered it, and the end of the rendered file was missing: about 10-20 frames had no sound and was black screen.
Tried with another clip, and with clean kdenlive install, the result was the same.
Interestingly, if I selected a portion of the video clip from the beginning of the video which was in the project bin, the problem was not present, but if I selected from the end of it, I had the problem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a 4-5+ mins videoclip to the project bin.
2. Select a portion of that from the end of it, and add it to the timeline.
3. Render the video.

OBSERVED RESULT
The end of the rendered video clip is missing.

EXPECTED RESULT
The rendered video clip should be the same as you can see on the timeline.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Win10 Current

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Region settings: separator is "," instead of ".".

Here is a project I created in v20.08.0, and I have this problem in it: the last 10-15 frames are missing in the rendered video.

Yes, the comma could be the culprit.

Try this workaround: before Rendering. Close Kdenlive, switch your system language to English (USA) which has a dot as decimal separator. Restart Kdenlive and render should work.

I tried to render the project with v20.08.1, and it worked perfectly.
So, seems that the problem was solved in the newest, current kdenlive.
