I assume the source is a MASS of random text in the file plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc, also attached. I deleted this text and it seems fine. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add text to plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc 2. panel becomes garbled 3. The strange text is base64 encoded image data, so that itself is not suspicious. It seems to come from vscode somehow. It seems to be quite large and I wasn't able to decode it to an image, so I can't rule out that something went wrong somewhere
How did you install vscode? I cannot reproduce this by pinning vscode to the task manager. Neither the oss version, the normal version nor the flatpak version

I installed from .deb downloaded from the website. I am running current stable Debian. It also garbled the images of the widgets library if I right click and try to add a widget.
I don't see how the two things could be related. What graphics driver are you running?

should I try the vs code bug tracking?
I cannot duplicate this error myself, I removed all pinned icons and repinned them and the bug doesn't reappear. It appears to be fixed with no clear resolution. I can mark it as resolved if that's OK. I'm new to submitting bugs and only went this route because I couldn't find any mentions of this bug anywhere else. Thanks. *should I mark solved?*

Well, it happened again. this time I can't find any junk in plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc. (see files). I'm grepping around to see if any related files have similar gibberish as before. I'm baffled.
