Description Peter Fiser 2020-08-18 17:40:05 UTC
SUMMARY
Email stuck in outbox while using Gmail SMTP

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set plain AUTH and generate google application password for kmail
2. set password for sending and try to send mail
3. email is stuck in outbox

OBSERVED RESULT
this worked once and never again. Terminal output shows:

org.kde.pim.mailtransport: Tried to update password state of non-cloned transport.
org.kde.pim.mailtransportakonadi: Item doesn't have DispatchModeAttribute.
org.kde.pim.mailtransport: Tried to update password state of non-cloned transport.
org.kde.kitinerary: Cannot find external extractor: "kitinerary-extractor"
qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 8 (BadMatch), sequence: 38797, resource id: 140510560, major code: 130 (Unknown), minor code: 3

I've experienced this after setting the Enable Undo Send option. After disabling the option, the test email went out, but a second email that I sent without changed got stuck again.

EXPECTED RESULT
email should go out
