SUMMARY
git fb9bb41

The title says it all. Using shortcut keys doesn't make a difference.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select a(or multiple) layer(s). 
2. Perform 'Quick Group' or 'Quick Clipping Group'.
3. Selected layers dissapear.

* You can undo it by Ctrl + Z.

I can confirm this for the Aug 15 4.3.1 alpha (git fb9bb41) appimage.

It does not happen for the Aug 14 4.3.1 alpha (git 90365ac) appimage

The bug has been fixed in 1893c0a79a225d01b0bb364bafe6bb37cd23
