2. Attempt to change the IDE input language to Korean (Hangul) using a hotkey or via the taskbar menu
3. Type something in Korean.

OBSERVED RESULT

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Running digiKam on Gnome desktop.

Even when the Taskbar menu sets Hangul (Korean) as the input language digiKam still uses English.

Workaround is to type TAG, COMMENT or CAPTION in a text editor and paste into digiKam.

This seems to be somewhat related to a previous bug: Bug 98462 - support for comments in different languages

Problem solved.
Uninstalled Snap package and installed AppImage. AppImage works fine.
