ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Maik Qualmann 2020-08-17 05:56:06 UTC
The log from the process monitor is unfortunately not helpful.

Activate the debug output by setting an environment variable in the Windows environment editor.

Variable: QT_LOGGING_RULES
Value: digikam.*=true

Download DebugView from Microsoft and run it. Try to reproduce the crash in digiKam and post the output from DebugView.

Comment 3 Andrey Shekhovtsov 2020-08-17 09:51:08 UTC
It seems that I have some corrupted files in my collection.
But I think it's better to handle them than to crash the application.
Comment 4 Maik Qualmann 2020-08-17 09:54:01 UTC
First of all, why did you create so many collections and not just "/tumblr.com" as the base folder? This is actually the wrong use of collections.

Yes, wrong JPG files. And it looks good that the bug has been fixed. See bug 425096.

Maik, in total I have approx 2.6 million images. It was impossible to import them all. Importing collections one by one was the only way to have them all imported
