Description Patrick Silva 2020-08-15 18:23:08 UTC
SUMMARY
By default cursor movement is slow when I use my touchpad then I adjust "pointer speed" slider in Touchpad kcm to improve it. Furthermore, I always enable "tap to click" feature. However, cursor movement is still slow and "Tap to click" does not work in SDDM. A way to also apply Touchpad settings to SDDM would be a nice usability improvement.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2

I tried to sync all of this but unfortunately couldn't get SDDM to follow Plasma settings.

SDDM itself probably needs patches to even support configuring this.

Yes. Syncing alone will do nothing. You need all the KDE code running to load those settings and then apply them. We currently do not have a hook to run such integrations.
