I can open it with KMyMoney 4.84 - OS Windows 10 I can also open the file with KMyMoney 5.06 for Linux Mint 20 2. 3. Very strange. Should work. Here are a few things to try: a) The screenshot you attached contains a dialog with the details. Not all of it is shown though. Increase the size of that dialog so that the full message is visible and attach a screenshot here (again) b) Try using the latest stable version from https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/KMyMoney_Release_win64/ (uninstall your version first, you can re-install later). This may not contain the German translations but that does not matter for this test c) The problem is certainly something inside your data file. Try to create an anonymous version of it (see https://docs.kde.org/stable5/de/extragear-office/kmymoney/details.formats.anonymous.html how to do that) so that we can further analyze the problem. You can do that using the version that can open the file. You can also take a look at bug #415548 and see if your scenario is similar. If it is, the problem is solved in code by step b) above. Please report back and update the status to reported.
